About 120 people gathered in the Hilton Hotel of Santa Fe for a Chinese
Purim dinner Thursday Night.
Beef and broccoli, sweet and sour chicken, sesame chicken, egg rolls, fried
rice, chinese noodles, egg drop soup, fortune cookies and of course
delicious Hamantachen all made in the kitchen of the Shlucha Rebbetzin Devorah Leah Levertov were all on the menu.
Tables were set with Chinese decorations including chop sticks... The
Meggilah was read by Rabbi Berel Levertov, with the slide show in the
Then came the food and singing and dancing with a local musician, L'Chaim
and a very freilicher Purim.
At the end of the party the new video of "Embers" was shown on a large 10
foot screen and inspired many.

At Chabad of London Ontario over 200 people mostly college students enjoyed
a spectacular Purim party with Megila reading live music and a full buffet
dinner arranged and catered by the shluchim Mordechai and Nechamie
Purim in Valencia was a smashing success. About 200 people attended the Mexican Purim Fiesta at the Hyatt Valencia Grand Ballroom. A hand balancer, clowns and face painters entertained the crowd, while the Rabbi, Choni Marazov - dressed in Mexican attire -personified the Mitzvah of Ad D'Lo Yoda. Tmimim Itchy Kahn and HaChoson Shaya Deitsch helped make it the a most joyous Purim.
SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS
Approx. 150 people for Meggilah Reading and refreshments afterwards. Friday
Night Community Shabbat Dinner and Purim Gathering with over 100 people.
Over 150 Men, Women & Children enjoyed an International Purim bash at the Holiday Inn banquet hall on Thursday evening.
After the Live Megillah reading the participants enjoyed an international buffet which included Israeli, Chinese, Mexican & American delicacies. The evening continued with a stunning Live illusion performance and culminated with a talent and costume contest.
Two local TV stations (TV 20 & TV 5) and newspaper covered the event which made this Kiddush Hashem & Kidush Lubavitch that much greater.

WALNUT CREEK, CALIFORNIA
This years Masquerade Purim Party took place on Thursday evening in the
J.C.C. auditorium. Approximately 350 people attended the celebration. The
program began at about 7:15pm with the reading of the megillah. At the front
of the room a slideshow played explaining what was being read and showing
colorful pictures for the children.
After Megillah people broke their fast on cake, fruit, soda, chips,
licorice, salsa, and of course, mashkeh. Then everyone sat back down in
their seats for the Chabad Hebrew School purim presentation. The songs and
tunes had the whole crowd clapping and singing along.
Following the performance, Jerald Joseph the Magician performed a
couple of magic tricks for the children. The evening ended with distribution
of Mishloach Manot for all the children.
On Purim, a seudah was enjoyed by approximately 50 people in the
Chabad House. The menu consisted of bagels, salad, coleslaw, tuna, egg,
cake, kugel, cous-cous cous-cous, orange juice and much more. The spirit of
Purim was felt by all who attended.
Throughout Purim, the Megillah was read in various places as well as
Mishloach Manot distributed.
MIAMI, FLORIDA - CHABAD ON WHEELS
Thursday night 120 people gathered at a night club called club crystal. There was a Megillah reading dancing and major fun.
On Friday Chabad gave out over 250 Mishloach Monos on Lincoln Road. There wa a 5:30pm megilah reading for 50 people. Nochum Schapiro from Yeshiva lained. After Kabolas Shabbos 60 people were on hand for a Seudas Shabbos held @ the Jewish Learning Center organized by Rabbi Zev Katz & Rabbi Mendy Katz.
PURIMANIA @ Chabad of Pasadena started with Megillah Reading and Slide show for the children. After the reading was over, everyone broke their fast on a delicious Israeli Style Buffet. While enjoying the live music by the Chabad Band. As usual, on Purim @ Chabad, the "fluids were flowing". After a few moments, the Hebrew School put on a beautiful and funny Purim play, all the parents loved it. Suddenly, seemingly out of nowhere, out came the SHUSHAN CAMEL, all the children got to ride the Shushan camel, every now and then the camel had to stop for a drink of schnapps ... the laughter could not stop.
Then came the masquerade contest. All children in costume received a prizes.
Over 150 people came to Chabad of Pasadena to enjoy a Purimania like no other.
The festivities lasted to the wee hours of the morning.
The following morning, Megillah reading was at 6:15 am.
At 12:00 noon Megillah reading for those who could not make it that early.
Although this was our first purim here it was ka"h a smashing success.
We rented out a large room in the beautiful Wellesley inn we had jugglers, clowns, a DJ, a magician, a TV entertainer, the Megillah slide show & much more.
Close to 100 showed up and it was very lebedik, thanx to 4 bochurim from Morristown ( Mendy Tennenhaus, Mendy Litzman, Aron Karp, Moshe Lazar) & 4 bochurim from O.T. 8th grade (Mendel Karp,& his friends). During the day they all dressed up like clowns and handed out 2000 brochures for our party which brought about an awareness of the fact that Purim is on the way like never before and that Chabad is here to stay.
We had over 150 people and the theme was an African Purim and we had an
African gentleman who played bongo and sang a song in African about Esther
it was the most exciting and beautiful Purim Malibu has ever witnessed. Here

LEEDS, UNITED KINGDOM

It’s Thursday, Taanis Esther, and the Shluchim are preparing for their
Grand Purim Party, to be held at the “Lubavitch Center” in Leeds. While some
were preparing the food others were preparing shows. Whilst others were
either on the run giving out Mishloach Manos to 10’s of friends of Lubavitch.
(Let it be known that the Shluchim in Leeds created the most beautiful
baskets in the whole city, without exaggeration.) Dressed in costumes
already on Taanis Esther, this has got to be the most happening Purim the
people of Leeds have ever seen.
It’s almost the time to read the Megillah the boys are still out in the
field. The time is here, the fast is over, and to our surprise Rabbi Gafni
from Eretz Yisroel is here. To spend purim with “the city that Leads” so
