He shared some anecdotes, including one about his muslim roommate who once helped him be able to light Chanukah candles without setting off the fire alarm. Tamir encouraged the students to use whatever talents they have in a good way, and certainly Hashem will help them succeed, just as he did.
Following his brief talk and Q&A, Tamir also did a short power basketball clinic separately for the boys and girls of the school. The school's basketball teams have been featured in the local media, and the girls' "Skirts" team gained national attention as well.
Students at Southern Connecticut Hebrew Academy - Yeshivas Achei Tmimim Lubavitch were treated to a visit by basketball's "Jewish Jordan", Tamir Goodman. Tamir told the students in 5-8th grades about his school years, including the time that he learned in Yeshivas Achei Tmimim Lubavitch in Pittsburgh. He spoke of his commitment to Yiddishkeit, most visibly his keeping Shabbos and never playing without his Yarmulka, even at times having to tape it on his head!
