It’s appropriate to accept the proposal of the respectful activist Rabbi Yissacher Dov Weiss. He offered to pay for the building of a new aron kodesh, ark for the Torah, in the Tzemach Tzedek shul in the Old City of Jerusalem. This is so as long as it is –in his words—elaborate and beautiful. I consented to his request when we spoke about it, on the condition that it is to be elaborate and beautiful.
