Rabbi Yeshayahu Herzl, Chief Rabbi of Natzeret Illit, is returning his mehadrin hechsher to the Lavi Hotel, following a meeting on Tuesday evening with the leader of the Regional Council Rabbi Yosef Chaim Rosenblatt, the Rabbi of Kibbutz Lavi Rabbi Yehuda Gilad, the hotel’s director Yitzchak Plezner, and lawyer Mordechai Eisenberg, who acted as a mediator.
After a good-natured meeting, everyone decided to work together to make sure that the Lavi Hotel would continue to have high levels of kashrus, as in the past.
The kashrus supervisors will raise various issues with the hotel management, and these issues will be decided in accordance with the opinions of the Rabbis.
During the meeting, it was also agreed that as part of the understandings and mutual cooperation that had been reached, the parties would ask Rabbi Herzl to restore his supervision and involvement in the hotel’s level of kashrus.
As a result, the hotel’s situation has now changed.
