Over the past few days, the municipality in Kiryat Malachi has been making final preparations for issuing a tender to demolish the building of the Talmud Torah in Nachlat Har Chabad in order to build better premises.
As part of these preparations, a meeting was held in the Talmud Torah with architect Rabbi Mordechai Garelik, who presented the building plans.
Also present at the meeting were the director of the Neighborhood Committee Rabbi Gorodetzky, committee secretary Rabbi Haber, Talmud Torah principal Rabbi Cohen, deputy mayor Yossi Solemani, and deputy mayor Rabbi Chaim Steiner. Rabbi Garelik showed everyone the maps and building plans.
The meeting concluded with everyone going out into the yard of the Talmud Torah in order to examine the possibility of a quick construction while avoiding too much disturbance to the students.
City representatives have now reported that any preparations by the municipality for issuing a tender have now been completed. Only a final permit from the Education Ministry is still necessary for the work to go ahead.
