The popular blue Hebrew-English prayer books available at Chabad-Lubavitch centers around the English-speaking world will now be available in Russian.
The Russian Annotated Siddur has the same annotations and instructions as the highly-acclaimed English Annotated Tehillat Hashem Siddur first published in 2002 by the Kehot Publication Society under the direction of Chabad-Lubavitch Rabbi Yosef Friedman.
Released by the F.R.E.E. Publishing House after years of effort to translate, edit and design its 1,272 pages, the prayer book presents the classic order of service arranged centuries ago by the First Chabad Rebbe, Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi, according to the rulings and opinions of Rabbi Isaac Luria.
Expected to become a staple for Russian Jewish communities, the prayer book will also be helpful for Russian-speaking Jews attending synagogue in English-speaking countries, noted officials, as the book has page numbers corresponding to those in the English edition.
