Governor Signs Special Proclamation for Gimmel Tammuz

Hartford, CT – SHMAIS.com has learned, that in an official State Proclamation, Governor Malloy has dedicated Friday, June 22, as a Day of Goodness and Kindness. “Whereas, Saturday, June 23, is the Rebbe’s 18th Yahrtzeit (Anniversary of Passing)…” the statement reads. “Therefore, I Governor Dannel P. Malloy, Governor of the State of Connecticut, do hereby proclaim June 22, 2012, as Day of Goodness and Kindness in the State of Connecticut – encouraging residents to increase in positive acts.”

The Proclamation goes on to offer some details on the life, vision, and accomplishments of the Rebbe. Some key quotes:
