The European Bureau of Chabad Lubavitch, led by Rabbi Yosef Y. Gorodetsky, has placed a full page color ad in numerous Jewish newspapers in France marking Gimmel Tammuz - 18 years. This full page color ad  features a picture of the Rebbe framed by a list of Chabad centers all over the world, highlighting over 125 cities with over 175 centers in France.

The text reads:

This Shabbat the 3rd of Tammuz (June 23, 2012) marks the Hiloula (passing) of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, whose teachings and blessings continue to impact the world. The Lubavitch movement through its actions in the service of Jews wherever they are, has grown dramatically attesting to the Talmudic teaching regarding the righteous "as his spiritual descendants are alive, he too is alive" (Taanit 5b).

The Rebbe's unique approach galvanized communities, small and large, worldwide and bolstering Jewish pride and motivating so many to reconnect to their heritage. The Rebbe’s influence continues to inspire mankind. Through his thousands of Shluchim (emissaries) who perpetuate his work throughout the world.

On this special day, let us join together, each in our own way, to increase the light in the world through increased acts of goodness and kindness; bolstering our study of Torah, and the practice of Mitzvot, with joy and enthusiasm all of which will surely hasten the coming of Moshiach speedily in our day.
