A special mivtza for Yud Shevat at Yeshivas Tomchei Tmimim has come to an end.
For two months, the Tmimim made good resolutions about Chassidishe behavior, kept more carefully to seder, and even added to their learning schedule. Every evening, they watched some carefully chosen videos of the Rebbe in the Zal, and the following morning they were asked questions that were designed to get them to pay attention to some of the smallest details.
Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Mordechai Mishulovin began the event marking the conclusion of the mivtza with Dvar Malchus. He also thanked Rabbi Dovber Segal, who handles the material side of the yeshiva for all of his help with the mivtza.
Mashpi’im Rabbi Menachem Mendel Roth, Rabbi Shlomo Yehuda Litzmann, Rabbi Zelig Azriel Wolpo, Rabbi Yaakov Torenheim, and Rabbi Mordechai Mintzburg spoke about Chof Beis Shevat and praised the Tmimim for their efforts in preparing for Yud Shevat.
Later on, everyone watched some video clips from Chof Beis Shevat, the passing of the Rebbitzen, after which all of the participants in the mivtza were given a certificate, a sefer, and a voucher for NIS 109. Afterwards, there was a raffle for the two main prizes among all of the Tmimim who accrued 770 points: a dollar from the Rebbe and $500 for a trip to the Rebbe. The winners were Tmimim Menachem Mendel Holtzberg and Yaakov Reinitz.
At the end of the event, emcee Tomim Shliach Aharon Roitblat announced a Rambam mivtza in which the Tmimim will learn Rambam for 20 minutes during their lunch break, fill out a worksheet, and each month participate in a special raffle for some valuable prizes.
