More than 200 sons of shluchim and Chabad House directors in Israel gathered this week in Tzafriyeh for their annual Shabbaton.
The program was full of farbrengens, activities, and surprises, all in the spirit of shlichus. The young shluchim shared their experiences of life on shlichus and how they deal with the various challenges that they face.
Many of them live in non-religious cities and they do not have any religious friends of their age. At the Shabbaton, they were able to find other children with whom they share things in common.
Rabbi Naftali Lipsker, who is in charge of the Branches Department of the Chabad Youth Organization, said, “The erev Shabbos and Shabbos program included many Chassidic experiences, farbrengens, tours, activities, and more all in an atmosphere of shlichus.”
The programs were run by Tmimim and counselors who often help with activities for the children of shluchim.
