On Thursday, Tmimim Yisrael Nabul, Menachem Lehrer, and Mendy Mor Yosef completed their Rabbinical studies and received semicha in the Ohr Simcha hall in Kfar Chabad.
Among those present were mara d’asra Rabbi Mordechai Shmuel Ashkenazi, Rabbi Dov Taverdovitz, the Chief Rabbi of Albania and Montenegro and shliach of Salonika, Greece, Rabbi Yoel Kaplan, Rosh Kollel Rabbi Uri Lemberg, and the president of the Jewish community in Albania Solomon Pireh, and many more. Mr. Pireh travelled to Israel from Albania especially in order to thank the Tmimim for their help during Tishrei.
Rabbi Berke Mendelsohn emceed the event, welcoming the Tmimim, whom he knows personally.
Speakers included Rabbi Ashkenazi and Rabbi Taverdovitz, who mentioned the graduates’ high level of learning. Rabbi Lemberg spoke about the amazing work that they did at the Chabad House in Haifa.
The main speech was given by Rabbi Kaplan, who described how the Tmimim carried out a shlichus in the Balkans, including giving a lot of help to the Chabad House in Salonika.
Each Tomim received a signed certificate of semicha and many best wishes for a successful future. The event was sponsored tin the memory of the late Chana Yarkoni.
