Women of Ashdod Get Ready for Gimmel Tammuz

The Chabad House in the 11^th Quarter of Ashdod, run by local Rabbi Mordechai Menashe Laufer and his wife, held a special evening for women in preparation for Gimmel Tammuz.

Around 300 women took part in this special event. The program included a talk by Rabbi Binyamin Karniel, shliach in Gedera, and a keynote speech by Rachel Bolton, who described her unique methods of dealing with changes in life.

The guest of honor was Mayor Yechiel Lasry. Dr. Lasry is a friend of the shluchim in Ashdod, and he spoke about the Rebbe’s amazing personality and the network of shluchim around the world. He also described his visit to the Ohel last winter.

“I feel as if the Rebbe is accompanying me along every step of my private and public life,” said Dr. Lasry.

Rabbi Laufer also gave a dvar Torah and thanked everyone who was involved in organizing the evening.
