Toras Emes Celebrates Its Centennial

Over 650 people attended a banquet last Thursday night celebrating 100 years of the famous Chabad yeshiva Toras Emes.

The event, held in Jerusalem’s Ramada Renaissance Hotel, was attended by members of Beis Din Rabbanei Chabad, Torah leaders, Rabbis, and Roshei Yeshiva, along with businesspeople, public figures, and other supporters of Chabad. Also present were many graduates of Toras Emes from over the years.

The keynote speaker was Rabbi Adin Even Yisrael (Steinsaltz). Guest of honor was Rabbi Yehuda Leib Groner, secretary to the Rebbe, whose father worked to raise funds for Toras Emes many years ago.

During the banquet, musical entertainment was provided by the choir of the Toras Emes Talmud Torah, along with famous Chassidic singer Lipa Shmeltzer, who sang a medley of Chabad niggunim.
