At a ceremony for the changing over of the officers in a southern army camp, Rabbi Yosef Hartman of Nachlat Har Chabad was invited to speak about the significance of the month of Elul.
Among those present at the ceremony were officers, soldiers, civilian army workers, and bereaved families.
The event began with a military parade, a lechaim, and lunch. Afterwards, Rabbi Hartman spoke about Elul, Rosh Hashanah, and the secrets of the shofar. The sound of the shofar resounded through the army camp ….
The officers later thanked Rabbi Hartman for 42 years of dedication as a shliach to this army brigade.
