Rabbi Yisrael Lebowitz of Tzach Eretz Yisrael mentioned to the Rebbe some of the prizes a children’s project included. Among the prizes was a soccer ball. The Rebbe commented, who forced him to include this prize? Have all other prizes in Eretz Yisrael been already exhausted? Among the people involved in this project did it dawn on anyone that in a Chabad contest, where the Alter Rebbe is involved, it’s inappropriate to have a prize be a soccer ball? Aren’t candies and bikes enough?
