The Rebbe's Advice #1017 - Renting Public Facility for Jewish Activities

Posted Monday, Oct 22 2012 9:43pm in Chabad News, Rebbe's Advice

In memory of Rabbi Gavriel & Rebbetzin Rivkah Holtzberg HYD - Shluchim to Mumbai, India*

I don’t understand why you’d rent a public un-used school building for your activities. Although they say it’ll be unoccupied for a while, yet, when they’ll have enough registration they’ll need their building and send you away. Even if you have a contract, they’ll find a way of dissolving the contract and get you out. If this concern doesn’t exist then renting this facility is a good option.

*As a practical matter, since each person’s circumstances are always different, one must use the guidance above as general instruction. The exact application at any given time must be discussed with a competent rabbi, or/and a counselor of Torah, a Mashpia.
