In memory of Rabbi Gavriel & Rebbetzin Rivkah Holtzberg HYD - Shluchim to Mumbai, India*
You should consult your local Chabad activists. Generally, the translation should be a “Free Translation,” meaning not a verbatim one. This includes sometimes re-arranging the order of the paragraphs, as long as it’s based on what I said. It’s also acceptable for the translator to add his own brief explanations in the footnotes, not in the actual talk itself.

*As a practical matter, since each person’s circumstances are always different, one must use the guidance above as general instruction. The exact application at any given time must be discussed with a competent rabbi, or/and a counselor of Torah, a Mashpia.
