Six flags? Six Teffilin!

This week, Camp Gan Yisroel of Simcha Monica went on a trip to Six Flags Magic Mountain Amusement Park. Before going on the trip, they were briefed by the head counselor about the rules which must be followed in such a large area. After listing all the rules, the head counselor made an offer: "Whichever group of campers will find a Jew and put on Teffilin with him, will be rewarded - each Jew, another prize!" The results at the end of the day were six men who had not put on Teffilin that day - three of them for their very first time!

One staff member was quoted saying: "on every line we went on, the campers in my group made sure to ask everyone if they were Jewish!". Camp Gan Israel Simcha Monica "makes a Jewish summer fun, and a fun summer Jewish!"
