Silvan Shalom Visits Chabad Yeshiva in Kiryat Gat

Yesterday, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Development for the Negev and the Galilee Silvan Shalom visited the Chabad yeshiva in Kiryat Gat.

During his visit, Mr. Shalom spoke to the students and told them about the brachos that he has received from the Rebbe from when he was elected to the Knesset in 5752 until today. He also expressed his admiration for the number and quality of students in the yeshiva, referring to them as the ‘budding pilots’ of Chabad.

Local Chief Rabbi Moshe Havlin, who is also the Rosh Yeshiva, told Mr. Shalom about the progress and development of the yeshiva and gave him as gifts a beautiful tzedakah box and a copy of the book “Towards a Meaningful Life” by Rabbi Simon Jacobson.
