Rebbe Dollars Discovered in Thief’s Home

Over the past two months, break-ins have occurred at the homes of Kfar Chabad residents who have gone away for Shabbos, or have even been out for just a few hours to eat a Shabbos meal with friends. Stolen items generally included jewelry and money.

Yoel Belinitzky, leader of the local security patrol, reported, “I began to investigate what was going on, checking all of the security cameras, also at the entrance and exit of Kfar Chabad, as well as around homes that had been burgled in nearby communities.

“Several days ago, as a result of our efforts, we received information about a suspect who may have committed the burglaries. After further investigations, we managed to identify him for sure and the police arrested him.

“When police officers searched his home, several Rebbe dollars were discovered that were probably stolen, and the police even managed to find the Kfar Chabad resident from whom they were taken.”

The police has appealed to any Kfar Chabad resident who have not reported any incidents to be in touch so that they can continue to investigate the suspect.
