Rabbi joins cycle challenge

As the summer has finally reached England, serious prepartions are under way for this Sunday.

In case you don't know yet, on July 1, Rabbi Yossi Simon of Tzivos Hashem will be joining the Capital to Coast Cycle Challenge from London to Brighton. As a long bearded Rabbi, you might think he is an unlikely candidate to join the 75 mile ride, but he is doing it for a good cause.

No, he won't be wearing bicycle shorts, and fellow riders might be amused by my tzitzit strings flying in the wind, but with your help, he will cross the finishing line having achieved a remarkable goal.

The goal at Tzivos Hashem is to connect children with the beauty of their rich Jewish heritage. We show them the joy, meaning and modern day relevance to ancient Jewish practice. Above all, we teach children to carry their Judaism proudly with heads held high. A Rabbi joining this famous Cycle Challenge, strutting his Jewishness ever so proudly, is a living example of what we set out to achieve.
