Jews at American University will soon find themselves much closer to their local shluchim.

SHMAIS.com has learned, that Rabbi & Mrs. Yehoshua and Esti Hecht will IYH be moving on Shlichus to the American University Area in Northwest Washington, DC, which includes the campus of American University and adjoining neighborhoods.

In addition to bolstering outreach efforts to the families and young professionals in their area, the Hechts will now be bringing the impact of Chabad-Lubavitch in Washington, DC, to a new level.

While over the years American Friends of Lubavitch (Chabad) has successfully realized an array of national and international events and programs which have assisted shluchim across the US and around the world, this new development adds to the dynamic and growing Chabad-Lubavitch institutions serving the unique community of Washington, DC, including TheSHUL of the Nation's Capital at the (Chabad) Lubavitch Center in Dupont Circle and the phenomenal expansion of activities sponsored by American Friends of Lubavitch (Chabad) at The George Washington University, directed by Rabbi Yudi and Rivky Steiner, whose legendary work has literally helped transform Jewish life on that campus.

The new Shluchim were appointed by Rabbi Levi Shemtov, senior shliach to Washington, DC and Executive Vice President of American Friends of Lubavitch.

HATZLOCHA RABBA!
