New Chabad House Dedicated on Tiberias Promenade

A reconstructed Chabad shul on the Tiberias Promenade has just been dedicated. It will be run by shliach Rabbi Schneur Turkoff.

After many efforts, the Chabad House and shul was finally opened at the ceremony, which was attended by donors from abroad and friends of Chabad from Tiberias and the surrounding area. These included Mayor Zohar Oved, who spoke about his special relationship with Chabad and his memories of old shul from fifty years ago.

Guest of honor was Dr. Moshe Entebi, who said that donating the money was easy compared to the work involved in setting up the electricity and making sure that the work was done properly. He described how the shul was left in a state of disrepair and how he always hoped that it would be renovated and reconstructed one day.

Other speakers included Yehoshua Bildericci, who with his family donated extensively to this project, local shliach Rabbi Yosef Kramer, and Rabbi Dovid Meir Druckman of Kiryat Motzkin. Rabbi Assi Spiegel was the emcee.
