Former general and current Minister Yossi Peled has been visiting the European Union headquarters in Brussels this week. At the same time, he took the opportunity to visit the EU’s Jewish institutions and organizations.

The minister and his entourage visited the headquarters of Bassad, run by Rabbi Yehudah Reichman, which distributes Jewish materials among communities throughout Europe.

Bassad’s Jewish materials reach hundreds of thousands of Jews. In recent years, this includes menorahs with explanations in eight languages, public menorahs, car menorahs, Tu Bishvat kits, mishloach manos, and matzos. Everything is produced in many languages.

Bassad also provides shluchim with a printing service, productions, calendars, and various deliveries of items.

Rabbi Reichman showed the visitors a range of different products. Minister Peled was very impressed by the range of products available in various languages. The visit was arranged by the EJA - European Jewish Association – which is run by Rabbi Menachem Margolin.
