Lubavitcher Cop to be honored

Shimon Strauss plays a distinct unique role in New York City. On one hand, he is a Chabad Chossid deeply devoted to the teachings of the Torah and the values of Jewish community. On the other hand, he’s just another NYPD officer set out to protect and serve the city of New York. In his involvement in both worlds, he epitomizes the role of the modern Jew, to be both involved in the world, while still very much remaining who he is without compromise.

Keren Simchas Choson VeKalla will be presenting Shimon Strauss with the Chesed Award for his tremendous efforts and his continued work in the Jewish community and the city of New York.

The KSCVK dinner will be on October 20th at Oholei Torah. Honoring Shimon Strauss, Chaim Moshe Jacobson, Rabbi Shmuel Lew and KSCVK founder Devorah Benjamin.
