In memory of Rabbi Levi Yitzchok ben R' Zalman Yuda Deitsch OBM In Psalms (132:17) King David writes, "I have prepared a candle for my anointed." This alludes to the fact that Chanuka is a preparation for the revelation of Moshiach; when we kindle the Chanuka lights we are treated to a semblance of the great light that we will enjoy in the Messianic Era.
