The Talmud Torah Torat Menachem in Tel Tzion opened several years ago, beginning with a kindergarten class of 12 boys in their teacher’s living room.
Since then, the school has grown and the local council allotted a building with a courtyard. Another kindergarten class has also opened and there are games and equipment. Last year, there were four classes for boys and a kindergarten class has also opened for girls.
This year, more than 100 children have been registered from various surrounding communities and the classrooms can no longer hold them.
However, a solution has been found and the local council has allotted a large piece of land for building a permanent premises and a playground. Building work is under way and hopefully there will be a comfortable home for what is clearly a growing kindergarten.
