MOSCOW, Russia — The Moscow-based Shaarei Tsedek Charity Centre is currently distributing sets of school supplies for the new academic year.
Thanks to the sponsorship of the Joint Distribution Committee, this year, the children registered at Shaarei Tsedek will receive their new sets of school supplies by September 1.
The Shaarei Tsedek Charity Centre will be distributing more than 300 sets of school supplies. The sets for younger students is comprised of different supplies than that of the high school students. In total, each set includes over a dozen items.
In their kits, each child will also receive a postcard from the Joint stating “wishing you interesting and successful studies, wise teachers and good friends,” as well as contact information for support services available to Jewish families. On the reverse side of the card is a calendar for 2011-2012, including the dates of the Jewish holidays.
