On Wednesday, 14th Tammuz, the students of the Chabad Talmud Torah in Chof HaCarmel and their parents gathered at the local cultural hall for a special end of year party and completion of a learning drive on Mishnayos by heart.

The event was opened by emcee Rabbi Menachem Tal, principal of the cheder and a medley of niggunim played by Tmimim Davidi Nachshon and Ron Yael. The Rabbi of Atlit, Rabbi Shimon Elmaliach, and Rabbi Axelrod, shliach in Atlit, then spoke before the Talmud Torah choir sang a selection of niggunim.

The Talmud Torah students also performed a play about the Rebbe Rayatz’s first imprisonment, which occurred when he was only nine years old. The play was produced by Rabbi Yiftach Luzia.

After watching a video clip about the cheder’s activities over the past year, there was a prize-giving ceremony for the top students of a recent mivtza to learn mishnayos and Tanya by heart.

The event was organized by vice principal Rabbi Idan Maggur, with the help of Tomim Davidi Nachshon and director Rabbi Avraham Segev, as well as local shluchim Rabbi Axelrod and Rabbi Menachem Tal.
