Chabad of Vienna Warn of Internet Perils

Just before the beginning of Bein Hazmanim, the principal of the Chabad Talmud Torah in Vienna Rabbi Dovid Neimark organized a special educational evening on the troubling subject of parents, children, and the internet.

Rabbi Shachar Sher asked the question of how authority and love go together, and he presented the Rebbe’s answer that education has to include both force and pleasantness, and he gave suggestions as to how this can be done.

Rabbi Sher also spoke about the dangers of the internet and ways for parents to make sure that their children are not exposed to its negative content. He gave many practical ideas and suggestions on this topic.

The evening also included some short videos, a presentation, and a drama sketch to illustrate the points that were made. At the end, each parent received a summary of ideas for good parenting.
