A news website has reported that the Broadcasting Authority is currently considering whether to promote Uri Revach, who presents religious programs on the Moreshet network, to the position of military correspondent for the Israeli television station Channel One.
Mr. Revach, a veteran reporter, fulfilled his army services as a reporter for Israel Army Radio on social and labor issues. After his discharge, he went on to work for Channel Two in the same field. He then served as media adviser for Asher Ohana, who was then the Minister of Religious Affairs. When Mr. Revach returned to the media world, he started working for the Broadcasting Authority.
Uri Revach is a Chabad Chassid, and he says that he considers himself to be “the Chabad shliach to Channel One.”
The Broadcasting Authority refused to comment when asked whether they really are considering Uri Revach for the position of military correspondent.
