Cavaliers’ Omri Casspi hosts basketball camp for special needs children in Beachwood

Cleveland Cavaliers forward Omri Casspi and former Israeli basketball player Tamir Goodman hosted a special basketball camp Sunday at the Fuchs Mizrachi School in Beachwood. The camp featured a collaboration with the Friendship Circle, which brought special needs children to train with the basketball stars. Casspi is the first Israeli to play in the NBA. He was drafted 23rd overall in the 2009 NBA draft by the Sacramento Kings. He was traded to the Cavs last summer. The two held a camp last Sunday at Beachwood Middle School. Another camp will be held next Sunday, June 24, at the Agnon School in Beachwood. The camp is for boys and girls in grades one through eight. continue...
