Camp Emunah traveling Shluchos division taps into the Duchmans

As in the the past 18 summers a bus load of Lubavitcher girls from around the world began their three week journey beginning in Seattle Washington and ending in Tijuana Mexico, driving along the Washington, Oregon and California's coast with stops in Vancouver Canada, Victoria beach, Portland, S. Francisco, Los Angeles, S. Diego and many other destinations along the way during their three week camping journey.

This traveling camp is one of many divisions under the auspices of Camp emunah which is presently celebrating it's 60th year under the leadership the esteemed Rebbetzen Chava Hecht, wife of the legendary Chosid and Shliach Rabbi Yacov Yehuda Hecht obm

Every summer Rabbi Shaya Ganzbourg the rebbe's shaliach to Harlem NYC and his wife Mrs. Goldie a dedicated mechaneches of Bais Rivkah school, leave their posts to head up this camping experience that's geared for tenth grade student's, and has earned a reputation such that it carries a two year waiting list.

Due to temporary health reason's the Ganzbourgs will be taking a leave of absense this summer .

tapped into running this summer season , will be Rabbi Mendel and C. Rochel Duchman of Los Angeles California.

The Duchman's have combined decades of experience in running and directing both Lubavitcher day camps as well as overnight camps.

Recently they have been credited with keeping our Anash children involved in Davening by founding and running the "Rebbes d iamond Daveners " Kol Yakov Yehuda " for the past ten years.

the traveling camps main objective is for these girls to see and live the lives of Shluchim and shluchois.

This year the camp is at its peak with an attendance of 46 girls accompanied by 6 staff members.

when asked how they felt about accepting this responsibility ... First Mendel replied jokingly " my shviger wish is my command do i have a choice?"

But then Rabbi Duchman got a bit serious and responded " ......"Well the two closest kind persons to our hearts . are shluchim and "unzereh lubavitcher kinder"....so what better Zchus do we have then to to spend three weeks with unzereh kinder while visiting close to 40 shluchim "
