Burgas Bombing Victims Remembered

Thirty days have passed since the bombing of an Israeli tourist bus in Burgas, Bulgaria.

The local Chabad House, which is near the town’s popular tourist beach, marked this date with a special memorial ceremony for the five victims. At the ceremony, dozens of Israeli tourists studied mishnayos together in their memory.

The evening began with the fitting of a paroches for the Aron Kodesh that had been donated by Shmuel Minsky of Kaftor Veperach. Embroidered on it are the names of the five bombing victims.

The ceremony was arranged by Tmimim who are currently in the area on Merkos Shlichus. It was extremely moving, and at the end everyone sang, “Ani Maamin.”
