Beitar Camp Doubles Its Numbers

Last Wednesday, Camp Gan Israel opened its third summer camp in Beitar Ilit for a total of 150 children. It was divided into a mini camp for those going into first to third grade this year, and camp for fourth graders up to yeshiva ketana age.

The camp provides meals and entertainment for the boys from 9:00 till 6:00 every day. 

On the second day of camp, the boys watched a play of the booklet, “Grandpa Zalman’s Shabbos Clock,” which teaches the children the halachos of the Shabbos table. The children also took a special tour of the Shabbos farm on Moshav Beit Meir , where they saw a practical demonstration of the 39 Malachos, milked the goats, and watched how bread is made. From there, they enjoyed a ride on horse-drawn carriages, as almost 200 campers and staff sang in the background. They are certainly having a lot of fun …
