This week, graduates of the Beis Chana seminary in Tzefat gathered, reuniting years after they completed their studies there. Other graduates watched the ceremony live from abroad.
The women were delighted to meet their old friends and former teachers, led by Rabbi Shlomo Raskin.
The ceremony began with a video of the Rebbe and the Rebbe’s chapter of Tehillim. The mara d’asra of Tzefat, Rabbi Mordechai Bistritzky, gave a siyum in accordance with the Rebbe’s directive to hold siyumim until after 15th Av.
The first half of the evening focused on memories. A choir headed by Beis Chana graduate Chaya Marantz sang nostalgic songs. Afterwards, there was a screening of a film of past events at Beis Chana and some of the former students shared their experiences there. Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Chitrik then gave the main speech.
In the second half of the evening, educational projects were presented and there was also a choir and a video, followed by a few words from Rabbi Shlomo Raskin. In the third part of the evening, future programs were unveiled, in words and music.
The last part of the evening was a Chinese auction that included a dollar from the Rebbe.
