After the Terror Attack: Chabad House in Varna Still Going Strong

Posted Monday, Jul 23 2012 11:27pm in Chabad News

On Sunday, the Bulgarian media reported that the terrorist who committed a suicide attack on a busload of Israeli tourists in Burgas was helped by an American citizen, identified as David Jepson, who was staying in the coastal town of Varna.

The police lost sight of Jepson several days before the attack, when he was staying in a hotel in downtown Varna. However, they think he is still at large in Bulgaria.

Despite all of these events, it’s business as usual in Bulgaria’s Chabad Houses. However, everything is now done under heavy police guard. Varna’s shluchim, Rabbi Yossi and Racheli Halperin, are still running their usual summertime activities for tourists, with the help of Tmimim shluchim and Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky.(SOURCE & PHOTOS: COL.ORG.IL)
