The Ezrat Menachem Fund, which is run by Beis Din Rabbanei Chabad in Israel, has launched a new project, through which there must be a mashpia in every Chabad Talmud Torah in Israel, starting from Rosh Chodesh Elul.
The idea followed a discussion among Roshei Yeshiva of yeshivos ketanos and mashpi’im in which it emerged that most of the problems faced by bochurei yeshiva today could have been prevented when they were still in Talmud Torah.
The work of a mashpia in kittot zayin and ches will be similar to what is done in yeshiva ketana, including shiurim on Chassidus, farbrengens, personal discussions with students, and more.
Ezrat Menachem is sponsoring the project, including paying the wages of the mashpi’im.
The fund is run by Rabbi Yaakov Amar of Paris and his son Rabbi Menachem Mendel Amar in Israel. Rabbi Baruch Chaddad, shliach in Malcha, Jerusalem, is coordinating the mashpia project.
