A hachnosas sefer Torah was held in this week at the Oneg Shabbat shul in Ramat Hasharon, where Chabad shliach Rabbi Yehudah Butman serves as the Rabbi.

The final letters of the sefer Torah were written at the home of the Lichtstein family, who donated the sefer Torah to the shul. The scroll was then carried in a joyful parade through Herzliya and Ramat Hasharon.

When the parade reached the shul, the other sifrei Torah were taken out and everyone danced hakafos. A large crowd of local residents, friends, and family of the donors took part in the celebrations.

Rabbi Yedidya Meir was the emcee, and speakers included Rabbi Yaakov Edelstein, Chief Rabbi of Ramat Hasharon, Rabbi Yehuda Butman, and community figures Yossi Priel, Phillip Mordechai Chaddad, and Gideon Amar.
