Taharas Hamishpocha of Crown Heights, headed by Mrs. Chaya Sara Zarchi, has been helping shluchim around the world with a special project.

The project, called “The Final Hammer Blow,” has raised funds from various donors for providing the budget to pay for finishing off mikva’os that until now were stuck at the final stages of construction. Mrs. Chasya Rivkin, who was in charge of the project, reports, “We recently found an anonymous donor who wanted to give $10,000. The money was sent to the mikveh run by the Namdar family from the Chabad House in Sweden.”

Recently, another donor appeared who also wanted to give $10,000, but only to a mikveh in Israel. The organization accordingly sent a message to all of Israel’s Chabad Houses with the details of the project. Out of all of those who responded and sent in a request, the Chabad House in Maaleh Efraim was selected to receive the donation.

Rabbi Meir Menachem Mendel Glitzenstein, Chabad House director in Maaleh Efraim, was very excited to receive the news. “We are very grateful to this anonymous donor, and of course to the shluchei mitzvah from the World Organization for Family Purity for all of their hard work and effort to help us,” he said. “The donation will allow us to finish all of the construction and to purchase the necessary equipment.”

The mikveh in Maaleh Efraim will serve all of the residents in the Jordan Valley, most of whom have little religious background. The mikveh will also service the Chabad families that have recently settled in Maaleh Efraim.
